Stryper to perform at The Kiss Kruise

Published on march 20th, 2022 | by Anthony Martinez

A few days ago, the first confirmed artists for The Kiss Kruise XI were announced, featuring the iconic Christian metal band, Stryper, along with other groups such as Buckcherry, Bruce Kulick, Micky James, and obviously the main band, Kiss (needless to say?).

This will supposedly be "the last performance on board" of the Kiss band, something that has generated many jocular comments about such a statement, considering that this is not the first time the band has made such a claim. The KISS Navy will set sail for their eleventh mission from Los Angeles to Cabo San Lucas and Ensenada, Mexico from October 29th-November 3rd, 2022. Fans need to be vaccinated to attend, bassist/vocalist Gene Simmons told The New York Post a few days ago.

Meanwhile, this is the first time Stryper has joined The Kiss Tour, the event's website says of Stryper: "When it comes to groundbreaking bands in the Christian hard-rock genre, Stryper is renowned for its distinctive brand of "heavenly metal".

Stryper members have confirmed on their social media but have not commented further, however, Stryper fans are excited about the news. It's no mystery that Kiss was a direct influence on most hard rock and metal bands of the 80s, including Christian bands like Stryper.
