Rex Scott announces new music from his classic metal band Zion

Perhaps most people know Rex Scott as the singer of X-Sinner, however, few know that long before Rex sang in X-sinner, he was playing in the band Zion, formed in 1981.

Although Rex Scott was originally the drummer, in 1986 he became the singer and guitarist of the band.

The band recorded some demos with their original singer in 1984, and a two-song single in 1987 with Rex as lead singer. Finally, in 1989 they managed to record the album Thunder from the Mountain, a classic of Christian metal.

The band broke up in 1992 just as they were starting to record for their second album, Rex Scott became the lead singer of X-Sinner and the possibilities of Zion releasing a second album were left behind.

In recent years, there have been re-releases and compilations, but not a second album.

However, a few days ago, Rex announced that he was recording a new Zion song with David Moore, Tommy Bozung and Glenn on bass.

Can't Hold Me Down' is the name of a new song that Rex and the rest of the band would be recording in the studio.

Although Rex did not specify if there will be a new album, he did say that in the next days the new song of Zion would be released in more than 30 years.

A new album? Who knows
