At the beginning of 2020, the band Sacred Warrior announced that they were looking for a new singer to take the place of Eli Prinsen and thus continue recording a new album.
After months of searching, on July 7th the band would officially announce their new singer Erik Schelling.

On the official Sacred Warrior facebook, they wrote: "After much prayerful consideration, Sacred Warrior is pleased to announce Erik Schelling as the band’s new lead vocalist. After conducting a nationwide search and three audition phases, the Lord brought us someone in our own backyard."

Although Erik Schelling is not very well known, he has been a big fan of the Christian metal of the 80s, he was the singer of his own band called 95One from 1999 to 2006, and in 2001 he had the opportunity to sing at the Cornerstone festival with the band Trytan where he shared the stage with Sacred Warrior.

Sacred Warrior ends by saying: As with the Lord’s perfect plan, Erik’s obedience has opened up doors for him and the band to record and release new music to the next generation of Warriors. We can’t wait to share these songs with you soon!

It is very likely that in the next few weeks Sacred Warrior will release new music, in the meantime, be sure to watch the video of Trytan at Cornerstone 2001 with Erik singing harmonies.
